Health Tip of the Day!

DRINK WATER!


I know what you all are probably thinking.... DUH, or "I've heard this before" but I have a couple of helpful tips for those of you out there that struggle with this. 

Personally, I'm not a big fan of water. I think there's no taste to it therefore its boring compared to something like lemonade or apple juice. However, recently I've started drinking a lot more water, and here's how.

~ ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS keep a water bottle with you. Whether you like water or not, whenever you get thirsty, you are going to go for that water bottle. 

~ Splurge a little on a cute water bottle or tumbler. I LOVE my tumbler from Starbucks® and therefore I always want to carry it around, or some other cute reusable water bottles. They can be an accessory to any outfit ;)



~ Try to naturally flavor your water with some fruit! I have a tumbler with an infuser in it and I absolutely LOVE it! It gives water a taste without any added junk that you find in drinks like soda


~ When going out to eat, if you really can't control yourself and want a juice or a soda, try ordering a water with it. When I have my cheat days, if I order a coke, I'll order a water with a lemon as well and I find myself drinking the water too!

~ If you really can't stand water that much, try eating water rich foods like cucumbers, melon or celery.

Benefits of drinking water:

1. Drinking water in the AM wakes you up
2. Drinking water before meals makes you more full therefore you eat less because sometimes you are not hungry, sometimes you're dehydrated. 
3. Improves you're skin, which will make your makeup go on nicer and easier.
4. Gives you energy.
5. Helps your digestion.
6. Helps relieve headaches that are most commonly cause by dehydration
7. Keep muscles lubricated therefore less joint pain
8. Boots immune system
9. It'll put you in a good mood because your body will be functioning at its best and lastly....
10. IT SAVES YOU MONEY!! because water is free!
